In the past 24 hours, the Da Nang Department of Tourism, in collaboration with travel enterprises, officially launched the "Green Culinary Journey" program. Tourists can now explore famous culinary spots like Con Market, Helio Night Market, and Nam O food zone using smart electric scooters from Selex Motors and VinFast. This service not only minimizes emissions but also provides a smooth, modern transport experience throughout the culinary discovery of Central Vietnam.
The biggest highlight today is the deployment of next-generation battery swapping stations along key culinary tourism routes such as Vo Nguyen Giap, Bach Dang, and Tran Hung Dao streets. Selex Motors announced a partnership with over 20 homestays and major restaurants to install automatic battery-swapping hubs. Instead of waiting 3-4 hours for a charge, renters can swap for a fully charged battery in under 2 minutes, ensuring an uninterrupted food tour.
To promote sustainable tourism, a coalition of electric scooter rental companies in Da Nang (including Dat Bike, EVGo, and local agencies) has launched their biggest promotion of the year. Starting today, tourists renting electric scooters for 2 days or more will receive an immediate 30% discount on the rental price, along with 10-15% discount vouchers at 50 partnered seafood restaurants and local specialty eateries across the city.
Dat Bike has officially opened a new ultra-fast charging and experience hub near the Dragon Bridge. Here, tourists can test-ride high-performance electric bikes like the Weaver ++ while enjoying local Da Nang specialty coffee and snacks during a quick 20-minute charge (which provides up to 100km of range). This unique integrated model perfectly caters to the self-guided travel trends of young tourists.
To optimize the tourist experience, the Da Nang Tourism Association has introduced a digital "Green Culinary Map." This map integrates GPS to precisely locate over 100 famous local eateries alongside a network of more than 50 active electric scooter charging and battery swapping stations across the city. Travelers can now easily plan their culinary itineraries without worrying about vehicle range.
